About the role
We’re partnering with a number of private and public hospitals across Australia looking for experienced Theatre Nurses across Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics, and Recovery specialties.
Facilities range from busy metro hospitals through to smaller regional surgical centres. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary perioperative team delivering safe, high-quality surgical care across a variety of specialties including orthopaedics, general, obstetrics, gynaecology, and ENT.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across your specialty area
- Prepare, maintain, and monitor equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures
- Assist anaesthetists and surgeons during operations, ensuring adherence to sterile technique
- Support pre-op and post-op patient care, recovery, and discharge planning
- Contribute to a collaborative, safety-focused team culture within the theatre
Skills & experience
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in Perioperative Nursing (Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics, or Recovery)
- Sound understanding of theatre procedures and infection control standards
- Excellent teamwork, organisation, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating rosters (including weekends and on-call where applicable)
