About the role
You will be working within remote primary health clinics, often as part of a small multidisciplinary team, delivering frontline care across a wide range of presentations.
This role requires a high level of autonomy, cultural awareness and clinical confidence, as you will be managing everything from emergency presentations to chronic disease and community health initiatives.
Duties
* Deliver primary healthcare services within remote community clinics
* Respond to emergency presentations and stabilisation when required
* Manage chronic disease and preventative health programs
* Work collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
* Participate in health promotion and community engagement
Skills and experience
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Previous Remote Area Nursing experience
* REC and MEC training
* Ability to work autonomously in isolated environments
* Strong clinical decision-making and adaptability
* Cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal communities
